yesss…that is what throwball is but i had to play. being athletically deprived for (how long have i been at iba for?? see i ve even lost all track of time), i needed to channel out my frustrations. i needed to get it out of my system. so at one in the afternoon with the sun positioned directly above our heads BBA IIs had a match with BBA IVs. we lost. yayyyy!! i felt so stupid. ok so ive never played this stupid game before, but that doesnt me u dont let me catch the ball when it comes my way. waise, whatever happened to running around the field? i want to play baskeball or netball again. i want to go back to PAF!!

my head is spinning. its 4 in the afternoon and ive been infront of this damned machine since 10. IBA was off today(a rarity, indeed), and they cant call us on sunday coz IBA already has a beach trip planned. this time im not even askin ammi. i know she wont let me go; id end up gettin mad and bein rude to her. so lets not start it.
comin back to why i have beenonline so long?? because i have lost my mind. not really, but i will soon. we’re supposed to write a report on american imperialism and its parralells in history. yeah, i know abt iraq and afghanistan but i had no idea what Mercantilism was and to think im an Economics student. we have to cover

• intellectual control
• economic control
• political control
• territorial control

and the whole world wide web is full of information on this. another vry interesting thing i came across was this particular thought

there is no denying the fact that USA is the superpower today, but the powers that be should wake up to the fact that it will not stay that way forever. history has witnessed a fair share of rise and fall of various empires. our Pak Hist professor stresses on the fact that the age of Muslim superiority in the world was what the west calls the Dark Ages and all of a sudden witht he rise of British Imperialism, Muslims saw a sudden downfall not only in the subcontinent but across the world.

btw, trivia for whoever’s interested. we all know of mohammad bin qasim’s invasion and then all of sudden history books take a leap and endsup in the ghaznavuid time period. that is from 8th century to the 11th century. this is a deliberate cover up. who can tell me why? i know.

other than this assignment, i also 2 presentations and a repot lined up. of the presentations, one is again a pk hist one on ‘Enlightened Moderation’. i am thinkin we should start by comparing musharraf and sir syed ahmed khan and then go on to show how musharraf’s policies are flawed and ineffective. the other presentation an Information Management presentation. Zia offered us to come to his office for it and i shamelessly accepted. now i feel bad coz i keep callin him to ask small things and disturbin him all day. i just hope it turns up nicely.

the economics report is too boring to talk abt.’The Impact of Foreign trade policies on the Automobile sector’. of course we are talking abt pakistan here.

Ahhhhhhhhhh!! i have a bad bad headache. even my throat hurts and ive been sneezing all day.

Aaaargh!! that is too much to take. i need a frigggin break!!!

even though for some ppl this had been an emotion packed ride and others were somehow feelin proud of themselves coz they had struck a raw nerve, i for some reason found the whole crappy business pretty amusing. this, for me, was the scaled down version of the cartoon controversy- on the one hand are the inflated egos who refuse to apologise and add insult to injury and on the other are the hurt egos who feel offended and wrongly targeted(this side hasnt retaliated as yet but if the former continues to play their dirty tricks, it will be forced to).
i really wish i could blog abt this whole incident properly but with too many ppl readin it now, i dont want a post to aggravate things. in the meanwhile, i will continue to laugh things like these off. have to admit its brewing into a very interesting story.
time for me to order my popcorns, sit back and enjoy the show. u dont get to see things like these everyday.
